Yes, ConfigBee offers a verified startup program. As a startup ourselves, we understand the unique challenges faced by new businesses. Verified startups can access our starter plan, and in return, we gently request testimonials, social media cross-promotion, and other forms of collaboration to help us grow together. Additionally, Indian startups, especially those participating in Startup India (DPIIT Recognition required), have special advantages. Contact us for more details on how to apply for this program.

Monthly Active Visitors (MAVs) is a measure of the number of active users visiting your web or mobile app. ConfigBee uses its internal session tracking system to monitor these visitors. Here’s how these sessions are defined and counted:

  • Unique Browser or Mobile Sessions: Each session is counted per device and browser. For example, accessing the application on both a mobile device and a desktop browser would be counted as two separate sessions.

  • Private or Incognito Windows: Sessions initiated in private or incognito windows are considered distinct from regular browsing sessions.

  • Context Changes: A session is deactivated after 30 days of inactivity or when the target context changes. The target context includes properties like user_id, account_id, org_id, user_name, account_name, and org_name. When any of these context properties change, a new session is created, even if it is the same user or device.

A session begins when a user first visits the web or mobile app and continues until it is deactivated due to inactivity or a context change. This approach ensures that MAV reflects the actual engagement of users with the application and is similar in concept to Monthly Active Users (MAU).

In our pricing plans, ‘staff’ refers to the individuals who have access to the ConfigBee dashboard and can manage configurations and feature flags. This includes team members, developers, administrators, Product Managers, and other Go-to-Market (GTM) members with limited access. The number of staff members included in each plan varies, and you can add additional staff as needed for an extra fee.

Active targets refer to the number of unique entities (such as users, accounts, segments, targeting lists) that have custom configurations. Each user, account, segment, or targeting list with a targeted configuration value counts as an active target. The number of active targets included in each plan varies, and exceeding this limit may incur additional charges.

No, you do not need to provide credit card or billing information when starting. Everyone is placed on the free plan by default. If a plan upgrade or billing information is required, the ConfigBee team will gently notify you via your registered email address.

The service will continue even if you exceed your visitor limits. Generally, we will gently notify the owners and admins of the account if limits are breached. Only under extreme conditions will we limit usage. If no admin or owner responds within 30 days for general actions or 7 days for urgent actions, we might suspend or terminate the account.
